Opened in 1941, the Strand Theatre has long been one of Georgetown's cultural landmarks. According to local legend, staff and visitors have experienced unexplained footsteps, disembodied voices, mysterious sounds from the stage, shadowy figures in the seating area, and an unseen presence moving through the historic theater after hours.
