This historic locomotive in Hill City is connected to the region's rich railroad history and has become the subject of local paranormal stories. Visitors have reported unusual experiences around the old train, giving the landmark a reputation for possible ghostly activity.
The 1880 train was the first locomotive steam engine brought into the region by a bull team. Employees in the Highliner Eatery, located in an actual train car, say they have seen the apparition of a man in a brown suit.
