The Central Saloon is one of Seattle's oldest surviving drinking establishments and later became an important venue in the development of the city's rock and grunge scenes. The saloon also publicly acknowledges a long-running paranormal reputation. Employees and customers have reported unexplained footsteps and shadow figures moving across the stage. Paranormal investigators working at the property have reported an apparition described as a woman in white as well as a dark, masculine shadow figure.
