Reported Haunting
The abandoned Old St. Mary's Hospital is rumored to be haunted by shadowy figures seen moving across the lawn and unexplained noises heard coming from the boarded-up building.
Old St. Mary's Hospital opened in 1926 as the first hospital in Iron County. The facility served the surrounding community for decades before permanently closing in 1999. Since its abandonment, locals and paranormal investigators have reported shadow figures darting across the lawn, strange sounds coming from inside, and other unexplained activity around the former medical facility. Local paranormal lore also tells of the apparition of a nurse seen walking the hallways of the former hospital.
