Millicent Library is said to be haunted by the spirit of Millicent Rogers, the young daughter of Henry Huttleston Rogers for whom the library was named. According to local legend, her apparition has been seen walking through the building surrounded by an unusual blue light.

The historic Millicent Library was dedicated in memory of Millicent Gifford Rogers. Paranormal folklore claims that her spirit remains in the building and has appeared as an apparition accompanied by a blue glow.
