The penthouse at 57 West 57th Street became notorious through stories involving heiress Edna Crawford Champion and her second husband, Charles Brazelle. Later residents described violent disturbances, unexplained sounds, moving objects, and apparitions said to haunt the luxurious Manhattan residence.
