Reported Haunting
The Clinkscale Building is reportedly haunted by numerous spirits. Madam Jennie Banter is said to move furniture and help around the inn, while her ghostly cat has also been seen. An elderly man in nineteenth-century work clothes reportedly appears at the windows, while a darker shadowy presence has been seen in the restaurant and guest rooms. Strange music, voices, and disembodied footsteps have also been reported.
This 1899 Jerome inn was built over the site of an earlier brothel destroyed by fire. Its paranormal reputation includes several apparitions, a ghostly animal, moving furniture, unexplained music, voices, and footsteps.
