THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Angelo's Northwood Villa, a historic Erie restaurant with Prohibition-era roots, has developed a longstanding reputation for paranormal activity. Restaurant manager Alex Tsipis, who once lived in an apartment above the business, recalled hearing people laughing and glasses clinking in the dining rooms late at night when the restaurant was closed and empty. Other paranormal accounts have described unexplained footsteps, strange voices, shadowy figures, and disturbances involving objects or bottles. The building's history as a former speakeasy and reputed hangout for Detroit's Purple Gang has become intertwined with its ghost stories, although no particular spirit has been conclusively identified.
Ghost Atlas has a published record for this location, but a full narrative has not yet been added.
