The historic Heriot-Tarbox House is said to be haunted by former residents whose footsteps, voices, and apparitions have been reported for decades.
Located at 15 Cannon Street in Georgetown, the Heriot-Tarbox House—formerly the Harbor House Bed & Breakfast—is one of the city's best-known haunted homes. Guests and owners have reported unexplained footsteps on empty staircases, disembodied voices, doors opening and closing by themselves, objects moving without explanation, and apparitions dressed in period clothing. Several accounts describe a friendly female spirit watching over the house, while others have experienced cold spots and the feeling of being observed.
