Reported Haunting

Coker University in Hartsville, SC, is famously home to the ghost of Madeline Savage, who is said to haunt the third floor of Memorial Hall. Legend suggests her spirit has roamed the building for over 80 years, making her presence known through unexplained tapping noises in the walls, flickering lights, and TVs turning on and off. There have also been reports of seeing the apparition of constrution worker outside the upper floor windows of the RTC building.

According to campus legend, a female student died after hanging herself in an elevator shaft that was later converted into a stairwell. Over the years, students have reported unexplained paranormal activity, including radios and alarm clocks turning on and off by themselves, mysterious noises, and other disturbances attributed to her spirit. Another well-known campus story centers on the Robinson Technology Center (RTC), where witnesses have reported seeing the apparition of a construction worker walking outside the second floor of the building. During the construction of the RTC in 1989, a construction worker reportedly died after falling from the structure, leading some to believe his spirit still lingers there.
