THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Guests at this historic Seward inn have reported hearing disembodied footsteps inside their rooms. The sounds are said to occur when no visible person is nearby to account for them. These recurring reports have given the early twentieth-century building a reputation as one of Seward's haunted lodgings.
Formerly a 1918 public building, this inn was condemned to be demolished in 2000 until it was saved by the current innkeeper, making it one of the oldest surviving structures in this historic fishing town. Guests staying at the bed and breakfast have reported disembodied footsteps in their rooms, as well as a mischievous entity that likes to rearrange furniture.
