Agnes Keith House in Sandakan was built on the site of an earlier residence used by British colonial officials. According to the source, former occupants, including American author Agnes Newton Keith, reported experiences involving a female apparition. The ghost is believed to be the spirit of a resident who died in the surrounding area during the wartime period before the present house was built. The property became a museum in 2004.
