Reported Haunting
The Ahwahnee is said to be haunted by Mary Curry Tresidder, who helped shape the famous Yosemite hotel and once lived in a sixth-floor apartment. Guests have reported seeing a female apparition on the upper floor, along with unexplained footsteps and other unusual activity attributed to her lingering presence.
People believe the 6th floor is haunted by the ghost of Mary Curry Tressider who died there in 1970. At the time, the sixth floor was converted living quarters where she had resided for many years. People believe to see her ghost roaming throughout the floor to this day.
