THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Manchester's Albert Hall has reports of phantom footsteps, unexplained voices, sudden cold areas and doors or gates moving when no one appears responsible.

Albert Hall was built in the early twentieth century as a Wesleyan mission hall and later became an entertainment venue. During its years as Brannigan's and in later paranormal accounts, staff and investigators reported footsteps from otherwise empty balcony areas, doors or gates apparently moving on their own, sudden patches of cold air and low unexplained voices. The building has also appeared in paranormal television programming. The experiences remain anecdotal but form a recurring ghost tradition around a clearly identifiable public venue.
