THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Avon Haunted Bridge is one of Indiana's best-known local ghost legends. Stories often describe cries or screams heard near the railroad bridge, with some versions tied to a worker who died during construction and others to a grieving mother searching for her child. Visitors have reported unexplained sounds, apparitions, and an eerie atmosphere around the bridge, especially after dark.
