Bayview Cemetery is associated with several enduring legends involving apparitions, unusual hot spots, and allegedly haunted monuments. The best-known stories concern the so-called Death Bed, rumored to shorten the life of anyone who lies upon it, and the Angel Eyes monument, whose gaze is said to follow visitors.
