Reported Haunting
Bear's Mill is said to be haunted by the spirits of former mill workers who remain attached to the historic property. Visitors have reported hearing phantom machinery, footsteps, and voices when the building is otherwise empty. Shadow figures have also been seen moving through the mill after hours.
Bear’s Mill, an operating water-powered mill and historic landmark, was built in 1849 by Gabriel Baer. It is said to be haunted by a former owner, whose ghost can be heard walking on the creaking floorboards upstairs when no one is there.
