Bell Island Mine preserves the history of Newfoundland's iron mining industry and the difficult underground work once carried out there. Visitors have reported phantom miners, unexplained footsteps, distant voices, and strange metallic sounds echoing through the mine. Its dark tunnels and industrial past have made it one of Atlantic Canada's best-known haunted mining sites.
