THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Billy's Bar and Grill is rumored to be haunted by former occupants of the historic building. Employees have reported hearing unexplained footsteps, glasses moving on their own, and shadow figures appearing after closing. Guests have also experienced sudden cold spots and an uneasy feeling in parts of the restaurant.

If you’re looking for the most sinister place to eat in town, look no further then this macabre bar and grill. Formerly the union building for sailors arriving from the nearby port, this restaurant was the scene of many murders by a bartender, who befriended weary sailors before shooting them and pushing their bodies into the river running adjacent to wear the building now stands. In the main dining room, patrons and staff claim to have seen the bartender standing behind the bar with a cold expression on his face, but when approached, he vanishes suddenly. Other reports indicated shot glasses with minds of their own, ghostly voices, cold spots and the apparition of a bedraggled sailor. On the upper floor, the apparitions of prostitutes have been seen, which suggests the building also served as the town bordello.
