Reported Haunting
Black Diamond Mines is reportedly haunted by the White Witch of Rose Hill, the Ghostly Children, subterranean mining echoes, and shadows on Empire Mine Road. These hauntings are centered around the site's historic, 19th-century mining locations.
Two ghosts are said to reside here. One is called the White Witch. According to legend, she was executed for being a witch when the children she was caring for all died of illness. The second ghost is Sarah Norton, a woman who was said to have been run over by a carriage. Both women appear in white, so it is thought that they are often confused by those who see them.
