Irwin Road near North Park has developed a reputation as one of the Pittsburgh area's best-known haunted roads. Local stories describe strange blue or white mist, glowing lights, unexplained figures, cemetery-related legends and other unusual encounters. Some of the darker stories attached to the road, including alleged murders and occult activity, lack solid historical documentation and are best treated as folklore.
