THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Boca Raton Historical Society and Museum—housed in the city's landmark 1927 Old Town Hall—is known for persistent, low-level poltergeist activity. Staff and visitors frequently report vanishing museum artifacts and unusual disembodied noises echoing beneath the building's iconic gold dome. Most famously, the phantom sound of a vintage telephone ringing often cuts through the galleries when nobody is around.
This 1926 museum was formerly the town hall, and is rumoured to be haunted. Staff and visitors have reported strange noises, vanishing objects and the sound of an old-fashioned telephone ringing when there is no one around.
