Reported Haunting
Boot Hill Cemetery, also known as Idaho City Pioneer Cemetery, is one of Idaho's most haunted burial grounds. Visitors have reported seeing ghostly figures walking among the graves, hearing unexplained voices, and witnessing mysterious lights after dark. Paranormal investigators also describe sudden cold spots and an overwhelming feeling of being watched.
There are said to be over 3,000 buried here, including hundreds of unknown or unmarked graves, many no doubt a result of the violence at this 1860s Gold Rush town. Locals say many of their spirits still linger here.
