THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Boulder Theater in Colorado is famously haunted by its former 1940s manager, George Paper, who local legend claims accidentally hanged himself while fixing a high lighting rig. His playful spirit is known to frequently flip light switches, turn on bathroom faucets, open doors, and rearrange backstage set lists. His supernatural presence is so well-established that the theater's adjacent pub was officially named George's Food & Drink in his honor.
The theater’s ghost is named George Paper, in life a theater manager in the 1940s. He was hanged accidentally by some dangling wiring. George has been known to show up as an apparition, turn lights off and on, turn on bathroom faucets, and open the bathroom doors. Several witnesses have seen George’s ghost dash past them. The pub next door, George’s Food & Drink, was named after the very active ghost.
