Brand Park is known locally for paranormal reports centered around the historic Doctor's House Museum on the grounds. Visitors have described shadow figures, unexplained footsteps, and ghostly apparitions appearing near the old house. Others report an eerie feeling while walking the park after sunset.
The park was once the Brand Family’s estate, complete with mansion (now the park’s Library & Art Center) and family cemetery. Folks say the cemetery is reached via a trail behind the house, and that spooky “occult” things have occurred near Mr. Brand’s pyramid-shaped tomb.
