THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The historic Bull's Head property has been associated with local reports of paranormal activity. Visitors and employees have described unexplained sounds, mysterious footsteps, and other unusual occurrences believed to be connected to the building's long history.
The 1802 building was originally an inn, but turned into a private residence in 1839. In 1966 the inn was reopened, but is now under refurbishment, reported to be under new ownership as of 2013. It is said to be haunted by former resident Mrs. John Stacy, who wears a white gown and appears in the first floor dining room. She was an active Women’s Christian Temperance Union member and has been active since the inn obtained a liquor license. She appears to bartenders and throws napkins and silverware.
