Reported Haunting
The Bullocks Wilshire Building in Los Angeles, California—an iconic 1929 Art Deco masterpiece that now houses the Southwestern Law School—is haunted by a tragic ghost from its glamorous retail heyday. Security guards and late-night students frequently report seeing the elegant, full-bodied apparition of a woman in period clothing pacing the upper floors or riding the historic elevators. According to local lore, she is the spirit of a department store employee who was tragically murdered on the property. The building is also known for typical poltergeist activity, including lights flickering on their own, elevators operating without anyone pushing the buttons, and footsteps echoing down empty corridors.
