THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The C.H. King Building, formerly the Yellowstone Drug Store, is associated with reports of unexplained paranormal activity dating back many decades. Employees and visitors have described hearing phantom footsteps, disembodied voices, and seeing shadow figures inside the historic building. Some believe former patrons and shopkeepers continue to linger within the old drugstore.
This 1900’s bank building formerly served as a pharmacy and a private residence, but is now a museum housing a vast collection of art, local memorabilia and curiosities brought in by the current owner. He claims that the building is haunted, and that on his first night living there, he was actually forced to leave in the early hours of morning due to an overwhelming amount of ghostly activity. Although he has gradually become accustomed to the paranormal occurrences, locals who rent an upstairs annex as well as visitors have taken a little more time to adapt. Reports range from the sound of someone breaking in and running up a flight of stairs (of course, there’s no one there) to a ghostly man who appeared to a caretaker in the basement. Disembodied footsteps and voices are also apparently commonplace here.
