The large Canal Street building now known as The Mortuary operated for decades as a funeral home before becoming a commercial haunted attraction. In addition to the staged seasonal haunt, the operators and paranormal visitors report unexplained footsteps, apparitions, voices and other activity attributed to the building's former mortuary use.
