THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The abandoned Lydia Mill Ruins are said to be haunted by a female spirit who wanders the old mill grounds and nearby railroad tracks.

Dating to the early 1900s, Lydia Mill once included housing for its workers and served as an important textile mill in Laurens County. Today, the abandoned ruins have become the focus of local ghost stories. Witnesses report seeing the apparition of a woman roaming the property, particularly near the old railroad tracks and within the remains of the mill building.
