THE STORY

Reported Haunting

Reports from the Terrace Inn include a lady in white, a man in a tweed suit, a ghostly youth, unexplained footsteps and disembodied voices.

The historic Terrace Inn opened in 1911 in Petoskey's Bay View community. Guests and employees have reported a woman in white appearing in hallways and guest rooms, a man wearing a tweed suit who reportedly appears near the balcony, and the presence of a young boy associated with the basement. Other accounts include disembodied footsteps and voices. Michigan tourism writers who investigated the property described it as one of their most paranormally active locations.
