THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Central Ohio Fire Museum has been the site of reports involving unexplained footsteps, voices, and shadow figures among its historic apparatus. Volunteers and visitors have experienced sudden cold spots and unusual activity after hours. Some believe former firefighters still watch over the museum and its collections.
This historic firehouse was in operation till the late twentieth century, when it was converted and restored as a museum preserving fire fighting heritage and artefacts. Witnesses and staff at the museum claim that is haunted by ghostly thoroughbred horses, who have been heard in the museum late at night. The other commonly seen apparition is a fire captain, who had an unusual obsession with ordering equipment. And according to some staff, he continues to do that to this day; even though he has been dead for half a century. Visitors claim to hear a stern male voice and ghostly singing during tours, but upon investigation, find nothing.
