Reported Haunting
The historic Century Inn has accumulated ghost stories during its long history of hosting travelers. Guests and employees have reported apparitions, unexplained footsteps, mysterious sounds, and other unusual activity believed to be connected to former occupants.
Reported to be the oldest inn along Route 40, this inn is said to have a mysterious presence. There is one unexplained very cold room, and an innkeeper there has described a mysterious figure that appeared near its door. As well, strange footsteps have appeared in the snow outside the room, leading away from the wall.
