THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Clague Playhouse has long been the subject of ghost stories shared by actors and staff. Reports include phantom footsteps backstage, shadow figures, unexplained voices, and lights behaving strangely during rehearsals. Many believe former performers still linger within the theater.
This historic playhouse is situated on an old farming property, as the theatre itself is a barn conversion. The former owner of the property, known to staff as ‘Walter’, has been seen and heard throughout the theatre. He often is heard sobbing in the theatre, and has been known to throw objects or move them around. He is most active during renovations on the theatre.
