THE STORY

Reported Haunting

The Clay Haus Restaurant occupies a historic building where employees have reported unexplained footsteps, voices, and shadow figures after closing. Guests have also described objects moving on their own and sudden cold spots in several dining areas. The restaurant has earned a local reputation for friendly paranormal activity.

This restaurant is housed in a historic building, which was built over the site of a civil war house. During the levelling of the lower floor, the current owners dug out the basement using their hands, and came across many interesting artefacts, which are on display in the main dining room. During their time running the restaurant, the current owners have come across many incidences of paranormal activity, include a spectre that has been known to repetitively knock on the back door at the rear of the house. They have also three men in old-fashioned clothing coming down the stairs who vanish when they reach the bottom. On the upper floor, visitors have reportedly seen a middle-aged man standing there, who has been known to walk into a blue dining room and promptly disappear.
