Clerkenwell House is associated with centuries of London ghost lore and reports of unexplained activity. Witnesses have described apparitions, phantom footsteps, and mysterious voices echoing through the historic building. Several accounts suggest lingering spirits remain connected to the property's long history.
Once a prison, the site was closed and demolished in the 1890’s, however the underground tunnels still exist. A child is known to be heard crying far in the distance, believed to be lost in the darkness. Shadows wander ahead and behind of people, and one grim spirit is said to stalk women who wander through here.
