Reported Haunting
Conway Cemetery Historic State Park in Bradley, Arkansas, is a small, remote historic site preserving the burial plot of James Sevier Conway, the state's first governor. The area is heavily blanketed in haunted lore, most notably centered around a massive, centuries-old tree growing near the gravesites. Local legend states that at exactly midnight during a full moon, the disembodied voices, phantom whispers, and eerie cries of multiple individuals who were historically executed by hanging from the tree branches can be heard echoing through the empty grounds.
Conway Cemetery Historic State Park, named after the first governor of Arkansas James S. Conway, is an 11.5-acre park that includes a half-acre family cemetery where Conway is buried.
