Cool Springs is associated with the apparition of a well-dressed man and mysterious old-fashioned music. One of the property's best-known traditions says residents would pour an extra glass of wine for their unseen guest during gatherings.
Cool Springs is a historic Kershaw County plantation house associated with a longstanding Camden-area ghost tradition. Local stories describe a spectral male visitor dressed in clothing from the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. According to one tradition, former residents became so accustomed to the unseen visitor that a glass of wine would be poured for him during social gatherings. Other accounts describe old-fashioned music seeming to come from the property when no musicians are present.
