The Copper King Mansion was built in the late nineteenth century by mining magnate William A. Clark during Butte's copper boom. Guests have reported apparitions, unexplained footsteps, mysterious voices, and sightings believed to be members of the Clark family. Its Gilded Age elegance and mining history have made it one of Montana's best-known haunted mansions.
