Reported Haunting
The historic Coryell County Courthouse is associated with the spirit of a man known locally as "Elroy." Employees have reported hearing footsteps, unexplained voices, and seeing an apparition roaming the courthouse after hours.
The 1897 courthouse building is haunted by a male spirit known as ‘Elroy’. Cold breezes have been reported, furniture moves around of its own accord and visitors have felt an invisible person brushing past them in the corridors.
