THE STORY
Reported Haunting
This landmark building in Ybor City, Florida, is haunted by the tragic ghosts of an actor who died by suicide on stage and a board member killed during an argument. Visitors regularly encounter a phantom lady in a white gown descending the grand staircase and hear a phantom piano playing in the empty theater.
The Cuban Club, now a site rented out for events, was built in 1917 to serve the Cuban community. It has been the site of two deaths: One was an actor who committed suicide on the stage, the other was a murder in which one board member shot another in the face. Both are said to haunt the building, and folks have also seen apparitions of a woman in a white dress and red heels and another of a young boy playing ball. The Travel Channel has named the Cuban Club one of the Top 10 Most Haunted Places.
