Reported Haunting
Daydreams & Nightmares in Modesto, California, is a costume and makeup shop located inside a former funeral home and crematorium that still contains leftover ashes. The property is heavily haunted by multiple spirits, most notably an entity nicknamed "Bootman," whose heavy, distinct footsteps are frequently recorded pacing down the corridors. The building is highly prone to active poltergeist disruptions—including brochure stands jumping off counters, flying objects, and doors slamming shut—alongside floating orbs, disembodied voices, and a dark shadow figure that frequently manifests in the doorways of the former embalming fluid room.
This is a costume store in the back of a small shopping center on 1408 N. Carpenter Rd. in SW Modesto, CA. I’ve talked to the owner of this store before and she showed me a great full body apparition caught on camera. I’ve also watched video clips of a ghost hunting group that’s investigated the location and documented occurrences. There’s a coffin from Argentina I believe in the back of the store that is purported to be haunted along with another coffin. Things have been moved around in the store and caught on camera.
