THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The historic former Browns of Chester branch in the UK is famously haunted by a 17th-century ghost who historically frequented the upper levels. Before the chain closed, staff members frequently reported seeing a phantom figure moving through the clothing racks and hearing disembodied footsteps after closing time.
The headless apparition of the Duke of Buckingham has been seen here. He was executed back in the fifteenth century.
