Reported Haunting
The historic Deering Estate is one of South Florida's best-known haunted landmarks. Visitors have reported apparitions, phantom footsteps, disembodied voices, and mysterious music echoing through the mansion and surrounding grounds. Paranormal investigators have documented numerous unexplained experiences connected to the estate's history.
Built over a Native American burial ground, this estate was once owned by Charles Deering, son of the founder of Deering Harvesting Co. Ghost tours are offered here, where participants hope to catch a glimpse of some of the estate’s apparitions or see other evidence of the Native Americans who were buried all over the grounds.
