Staff and security guards at the landmark central library branch have reported encounters with resident spectral entities over the years. Paranormal reports focus on shadowy figures darting between the deep archival shelves and the sudden, unexplainable sound of historical books sliding out of place in empty aisles.
Denver Public Library has a ghost in the basement, say some. The ghost has been known to shove people hard as they walk, scaring some security guards so badly that at least one has quit because of it.
