THE STORY
Reported Haunting
Denver Union Station is considered one of Colorado's most haunted railroad landmarks. Travelers and employees have reported apparitions, phantom footsteps, unexplained voices, and shadow figures throughout the historic station. Several spirits are believed to be connected to the station's long railroad history.
The presence of a military officer has been felt on one of the platforms, as if he is still waiting for a train. A shadowy apparition which appeared to be lost was seen by many during the mid-twentieth century, but has not been seen recently. Also not seen recently was the ghost of a homeless man with just three fingers, who terrified passengers and workers by appearing and disappearing suddenly all over the station.
