THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Depot Cafe and Restaurant (originally an old train station located in Magalia, California) is heavily haunted by at least three distinct entities. Guests and employees routinely witness apparitions of a woman wearing a housecoat, a spectral train conductor, and a young child wandering the premises. The property is highly prone to active poltergeist disturbances, including objects flying off shelves, automatic toilet flushes, self-activating lights, and an eerie incident where every single fork on the dining tables was found turned onto its side. More aggressive encounters include witnesses having their hair pulled or shoulders grabbed by invisible hands, alongside the horrifying manifestation of a floating head hovering over the lower-level bakery freezer.
Magalia Depot, aka Depot Cafe and Restaurant, was a train depot before it became an eatery in 1977. Witnesses here have seen apparitions and heard voices and banging noises, and seen objects fall off shelves. Some employees have had their hair pulled or shoulder grabbed by something invisible, and a floating head was seen over a freezer in the lower level bakery. Toilets have flushed and lights have come on by themselves, and one time, all the dinner forks on the set tables had been turned on their sides. Previous owners have said the place is haunted by three ghosts: a small child, a woman in a housecoat, and a conductor.
