THE STORY
Reported Haunting
The Depreciation Lands Museum preserves the history of Pennsylvania's early settlers and has accumulated reports of unexplained activity. Volunteers have described footsteps, shadow figures, and mysterious voices inside the historic buildings. Some believe former residents still linger around the property.
A rather helpful man in a long coat and out-of-date boots has been responsible for catching a painter’s ladder after the man lost his balance, catching a cleaning woman who fell, fixing a broken window, and saving a group of girl scouts when the ceiling collapsed over them.
