Prospect Church, located along Prospect Road near Hartsville, has long been the subject of local ghost stories. According to the legend, visitors who park in the last parking space on the right side of the church during certain full moon nights may witness a man moving the curtains in the last second-story window, as though he is struggling with someone or something inside. While no documented explanation has ever been found, the tale has been shared among local residents for many years and remains one of the areas better-known paranormal legends.
