Dock Street Theatre, built on the site of Charleston's first theater, is famous for the ghost of Nettie Dickerson, who is said to appear in a red dress on the second-floor balcony. Staff and visitors have also reported unexplained footsteps, mysterious voices, and shadowy figures throughout the historic theater. It remains one of Charleston's most celebrated haunted landmarks.
